Points 2 Shop Spending
As you probably know by now points earned from games, surveys, lottery, contests or referrals are spent at amazon, however you cannot just log in to amazon.com and buy things with them you have to shop for the amazon products through the points 2 shop website. go to "Spend Points" then "Find a Prize" or click "[shop on amazon]" at the top of the page and it takes you to a search bar like the one below.
First of all you must always pick the correct category or the search wont return any results, and i usually untick both boxes so that the results are up to date. The prize value range changer doesn't seem to work so i don't bother with that at all. You have to keep in mind that if you are in the UK the it will only search through Amazon.co.uk and if you are in US it will search Amazon.com and so on. when you have gone through the pages and found the item you want you can click on it to give product information or you can click on "23 new from 2650 points" for example if you want to go to the list of sellers like below and buy the item. Or if you still cant find what you want then you can place a manual order by going to the correct amazon (.com, or .co.uk etc), finding the product you want and going on the product information of the item and scrolling down to the "product details" and copying the ASIN number in to the search bar. If this still returns no results the read further down "how to place a manual order".
Unfortunately shipping prices aren't shown in this table and do vary quite a lot, so the only option is to add the item to your cart from one seller, look at the shipping, remove it from the cart, then repeat for the next seller. I usually only bother doing that with the first 10 or so sellers and sometimes save myself up to $8 so its worth it. If you order something over 2500 points ($25) from Amazon itself not one of its other merchants then shipping is free, However i have got free shipping from amazon on some of my orders that were only 100 points ($10) so it is worth seeing how much shipping is from Amazon itself. Once you have found the seller you want add that sellers item to the cart and you will be taken to the cart. At the bottom of the cart there are tick boxes offering sort of insurance that your order will be approved, they ask you how much extra you are willing to pay for the item in case of small changes in amazon pricing, i would pick the "up to 500 points" box but it depends how much you want the item and how many points you have to spare. The other comments box is only if you want your product in a specific colour etc. It will take a while for your order to be approved as the admin have to go through all the orders and enter them in to Amazon (usually 2-3 business days), but you can check the status of the orders by going to "Spend Points" then "status of orders".
How to place a manual order
The manual order form is fairly straight forward, but you should only use it as a last resort if you cant find your product any other way. The form is fairly self explanatory, find what you want from the correct amazon site (UK-.co.uk, US-.com etc) then copy the url of the product information (top bar of web browser) and paste it in to the first box of the form, then find the merchant you want and put his name in the second box, in the third box type in the price (relevant currency UK-£, US-$ etc) but make sure it is the price from the seller you put n box two, in the fourth box type in the shipping price from the seller you have selected and the comments box is only if you want your item in a specific colour etc. Then submit the form, It will take a while for your order to be approved as the admin have to go through all the orders and enter them in to Amazon (usually 2-3 business days), but you can check the status of the orders by going to "Spend Points" then "status of orders".
